Happy Beijing 2008

Alright, there come the party has started. Beijing has impressed the world immensely with much-anticipated exciting opening ceremony at 08.08.08 at 08:08:08pm (local time). It does sound like the Chinese planned it, eh?!

I must say my most fav Games was Seoul since it was in Asia and it was the first of my memory, and then Sydney come just right after - not that I remember much about the Games, guess it's must have been their habour that stuck in my head!

Summerscreen again...

For the past two days we've been working outdoor helping out on Harry Potter and The Golden Compass tours around Oxford, all went alright - good to see all the kids having a good time, also glad it's all over now.

Time to get back to my summer paper, better make sure I finish up the final draft before I'm off to Italy this Sunday. So looking forward to it! I won't think about the final presentation by the end of August just yet though.

The Touristic London

I had to do a few things near Oxford St so took a walk around there for a while and thought I was in Bangkok. The streets full of tourists everywhere on a hot and humid day.

The shopping street reminded me of Pratunam area in Bangkok, the Westminster area reminded me of around the Thai Great Palace, millions people - it's kinda cool though that you bearly hear people speak English in the middle of London.

Back to my random walk, it was a long walk from Oxfort St, then through Charing Cross to Tafalgar Square then Westminster. If I had a better pair of shoes and more energy, I would have kept walking - but decided I'd be better off next time and hopefully it'll be a little quieter.

Well, I am still yet to figure out what so interesting this Schmap is, except that the name sounds cool enough. Just so you know, the map is on my page here simply because they used a (not-that-good) picture of South Park I took months ago, if you happen to see it on display anyway!

'Flow-Motion'

Hello again! I'm happy to welcome myself back to my own blog, exactly one month since my last post. You can tell how long it took me to 'recover' from the last Semester, yet a saga of dissertation carries on for the Summer.

Here goes a part of it is studying Keanu Reeves, oh no, I meant The Matrix. If you're one of its fans, I'm sure you remember the 'bullet-time' where smart looking The One was fighting with the Policeman through the 'storm' of bullets.
